2024 Year in Review

Dear Partners and Friends,

Here at Dimensional Energy, we are eagerly looking forward to a New Year of continued growth, partnership and transformation, both collectively and individually. As we close out 2024, I find myself reflecting on how far we’ve come together over the past twelve months. This has been a year of incredible achievements for our company. Let’s take a moment to celebrate some of the milestones that defined this remarkable year.

2024: A Big Start and a Strong Finish

We began the year by opening our new Houston Office in the Westchase District, a critical step in expanding our operational and geographic capacity. Our Engineering team is based in Houston and the office is now home to ten staff and growing.

The end of the year welcomed the successful delivery of our first-of-a-kind (FOAK) carbon capture and utilization (CCU) integration in Richmond, British Columbia. This exciting project kicked off in 2023 when Dimensional Energy partnered with cement manufacturer Lafarge Canada, and carbon capture leader Svante to begin the point-source utilization of captured CO2 at the Lafarge Richmond cement plant in Richmond, British Columbia. This project finished construction near the end of 2024 and will operate throughout 2025. Together, we will set a new benchmark for what’s possible in carbon capture and utilization and cross-industry collaboration.

Breakthrough Technology Innovation

Ampaire fuels up their Eco Caravan hybrid electric aircraft with Dimensional Energy 100% ASTMD7566 Sustainable Aviation Fuel

2024 saw tremendous progress in Dimensional Energy’s innovative technology platforms. Early in the year, we completed a key milestone on our path to power-to-liquid sustainable aviation fuel (e-SAF), by running a successful engine test of our 100% e-SAF with the revolutionary hybrid electric-aviation company Ampaire. In mid-2024, our Research and Development team achieved significant progress in our catalyst development, with the patent approval for our proprietary Fischer-Tropsch (FT) catalyst as well as the finalization of our Reverse Water Gas Shift (RWGS) catalyst, which is now in toll manufacturing.

These breakthroughs make it possible to license our technology to continue the scale up of sustainable hydrocarbon technology.

In October, we journeyed across the Atlantic to tell our story in Paris at the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit. We also joined Svante and the Canadian government at the Carbon Capture Technology Conference in Hamburg to share our progress on our FOAK plant in Richmond and help to support more carbon capture, utilization and storage initiatives in Europe.

Finally, as we close out the year, we are excited to expand opportunities for our fossil-free ingredients and fuels – all made from captured CO2. We are working to collaborate with companies across various sectors, seeking to strengthen local supply chains and adopt more sustainable products. Our Growing Team

Having the right people in the right places is critical for the success of Dimensional Energy, and I’m proud to say that our personnel resources have never been finer. We are staffed up and our internal systems are online and well organized, ready for the new year ahead.

We have recently consolidated all our technology, R&D, and engineering efforts under one umbrella, led by Chief Technology Officer Bruce Logue. This shift will enable us to more easily prioritize and communicate across teams and geographies furthering strategic innovation of our technology platform. We are also building out our Product Team led by VP of Product Siobhan Foley to support offtake from future projects.

Onsite at our operating plants, our capacity has grown under the leadership of Sebastian Hunt-Farmer, who led the construction of our facility in Canada and will now be our Head of North American Production, leading all operational teams across locations. Working across projects and departments, Monica Villalobos, Principal Engineering Project Manager, is now leading our project management team to support all the many facets of Dimensional Energy’s business.

The Research and Development team continues innovation at our labs in Ithaca, New York, and we recently welcomed Vamsi Vadhri as our Director of R&D, working closely with Chief Science Officer Bradley Brennan and team.

In all, we added 23 full time employees this year – industry professionals joining us from Connecticut to California to Canada. Our people are our biggest asset and the progress we’ve made today wouldn’t be possible without them. The growth of our team reflects not just the scale of our ambitions but also the collaborative, innovative culture we’re building together.

A Few Words From Our Team

Sebastian Hunt-Farmer, Head of North American Production

“I'm excited to step into this role and focus on fostering collaboration across our facilities. This opportunity allows me to align our operations with the company's growth objectives, driving innovation and excellence at every turn. Equally important to achieving full plant production rates is the ability to meticulously track every field adjustment and operating condition. This effort is supported by a robust data collection regime, comprehensive KPI tracking, and a well-structured data library, providing a strong backbone for large-scale operations and future growth. I look forward to leveraging these capabilities to not only advance our company but also drive transformative change across the industry.”

Siobhan Foley, VP of Product

“Hydrocarbons are abundant in the natural world and increasingly we’ve made them a central part of all that we manufacture as well, which is a big part of what makes what we do at Dimensional so exciting. Our e-SAF and e-Diesel drop right into existing engines, and we can also increase supply chain resiliency with our clean hydrocarbons in all sorts of industrial and consumer applications. I love learning from our customers about how they’re addressing sustainability and exploring ways our fuels, oils and waxes can help!”

Vamsi Vadhri PhD, Director of Research and Development

“By transforming CO2 into sustainable fuels and products, Dimensional Energy is making a game-changing contribution to fighting climate change. Developing unique and novel processes to convert the world’s most abundant feedstock into renewable hydrocarbons for a host of applications is incredibly exciting. By engineering proprietary catalysts that are stable, efficient, and resistant to poisons, we achieve reliable and cost-effective CO2 conversion solutions. Collaborating closely with engineering and marketing teams to transform lab innovations into impactful, carbon-reducing solutions is deeply rewarding.”

Monica Villalobos, Principal Engineering Project Manager

“Bringing a distinct perspective while sharing similar core values, focusing on driving growth, strengthening teams, mitigating risks, and encouraging diversity is my mission. Like catching the perfect wave, I aim to seize opportunities to lead Dimensional Energy’s sustainability efforts for a better world, guiding the project management team with dedication and excellence toward lasting success.”

Values that Drive Us

One significant internal initiative this year was the reimagining of our core company values. These aren’t just words — they are fundamental beliefs and principles that guide us on how we operate and interact with employees, customers and the world. The below company values were workshopped by staff and approved by our Culture Committee in October 2024.

Leave the Planet Better Than We Found It: Leading the transition to defossilize energy and mitigate climate change is central to everything we do.

Continuous Innovation: Our forward-thinking approach fuels the development and scaling of next-generation technology to drive the energy transition.

Our Team is Our Greatest Resource: We are committed to an inclusive, respectful workplace where diverse perspectives are heard and celebrated.

Safety without Compromise: Safety is at the core of our strategic and responsible operations, encompassing everything from our people to our plant operations.

Looking Ahead to 2025

With our innovative carbon utilization technology, Dimensional Energy is well positioned for continued growth over the next year, and I am optimistic about the new opportunities the year will bring. We closed out 2023 with a successful Series A fundraising round, and we are kicking off 2025 with our Series B round of fundraising to ensure we can continue to grow and operate at increased scale. For more information about our Series B round, please reachout to info@dimensionalenergy.com.

Together, we’re proving that innovation and impact can go hand in hand, and I’m confident that 2025 will bring even greater achievements for all of us.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year!
